General information:
At Cyber Surgery, we develop advanced robotic technology that helps improve surgical precision and patients’ quality of life. Our purpose is clear: to make surgery more efficient, accessible, and safe by putting innovation at the service of healthcare professionals.
We are looking for someone with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and customer relations to join our team as a Field Service Specialist. You will play a key role in ensuring that our robotic systems operate at the highest quality and reliability standards, and support hospitals and healthcare professionals in using technology that is changing medicine.
If you are motivated by robotics, travel, tackling technical challenges, and being part of an innovative, fast-growing company, this could be your next opportunity.
What will your role be?
You will join the Operations team and be responsible for directly carrying out technical activities related to the lifecycle of our products. This role is designed to work closely with the production technician to provide mutual coverage during peak workloads, absences, and specific business needs. This prevents either role from depending on a single person.
Objectives
You will be responsible for:
Technical interventions and support
- Installing, configuring and commissioning robotic assistants at customer sites.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance and identifying and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Handling technical inquiries by telephone or remotely, diagnosing problems and providing effective solutions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to handle customer or internal team inquiries and incidents outside normal working hours, as required by business needs.
Production support (operational flexibility)
- Taking on product assembly and integration tasks as needed, such as during production overloads, temporary shortages of shop-floor resources, or the absence of the production technician.
- Become familiar with shop-floor assembly processes, procedures, and work instructions so you can perform these tasks without a significant learning curve.
- Coordinate with the production manager to appropriately prioritize field support needs and shop floor requirements at any given time.
Participate in improvements and testing
- Collaborating on the development of new products by providing technical feedback from a field service perspective, as well as from assembly experience, when appropriate.
- Participate in the assembly and testing of new products, as well as hardware and software versions, before launch.
Requirements
- Technical education in electricity, electronics, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field (e.g., engineering degree or higher vocational training qualification).
- Previous experience in technical assistance, maintenance of electronic equipment, or field technical support.
- Experience with or knowledge of electronic or robotic product assembly/integration processes is preferred.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers, particularly Beckhoff, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems, as well as professional customer-facing skills.
- Willingness to take on tasks beyond the scope of the role depending on the company’s operational needs.
- Availability to travel mainly within Spain and across Europe (approximately 25% of the time, usually on weekdays and for short trips).
- Fluency in English. Minimum B2 level.
